This book is an expression of love, not only for cooking, but for my late mother Gloria. Growing up, we strictly ate a Mediterranean diet before it was popular. So, I have included recipes that have been handed down from generations. I've also incorporate many of my own favorites dishes.

As we have become aware of the many chemicals being used into today's products, I have also included a section of tried and true homemade laundry detergents and cleansers.

16 oz. refried beans
1¼ oz. package taco seasoning
1 c. sour cream
1 c. guacamole
1 c. salsa
1 c. iceberg lettuce
1 c. Mexican blend cheese
4 oz. sliced olives
4 green onions, chopped
1 c. tomatoes (diced)
Directions:
Layer in the following order:

Refried beans mixed with taco seasoning
Sour cream
Guacamole
Salsa
Lettuce
Mexican Cheese
Sliced Olives
Green onions
Tomatoes
