Oysters
1 strip of smoked bacon for each oyster
Buttered toast

Directions:
Directions:
Remove the oysters from their shells. Wrap each oyster in a strip of bacon. put them on a skewer and grill them until the bacon is cooked. Alternatively, they can be cooked in a hot oven. Serve piping hot on buttered toast.

I don't know why it's called Whitstable Angels on Horseback. A friend of mine served it to me whilst I was visiting her in Kent County, England. She said it is a favored Kentish recipe. Very yummy.
