3½ c. water, divided
3 tsp. salt
1¼ c. yellow corn meal
4 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. olive oil
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 21/2 c. water in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Mix corn meal with the remaining water in a small bowl. Slowly mix the corn meal mixture to the boiling water. Reduce heat to low. Stir constantly until thickened. Approximately 5 minutes. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Let cool. Place in refrigerator overnight.
Slice Mush into 1/2-inch slices. Fry in a pan with butter and olive oil until brown. Add salt and pepper.
