Cherry Empanadas Recipe

1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
8 tbsp. shortening
4-6 tsp. water
1 small can of cherry pie filling
confectioner's sugar
cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder and salt; cut in shortening. Add water and mix until it forms a ball. Roll out 1/8" thick and into 3" circular pieces. Fill each half round piece with pie filling. Moisten edges, fold over and seal. Bake in 400ºF oven for 15 minutes. Cool slightly and roll each cooked empanada in sugar mixed with cinnamon.
