1 pkg. vanilla wafers
4 bananas
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 cup milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Put vanilla wafers in bottom and around sides of casserole dish. Mix flour and sugar in double boiler. Add milk and heat. Add egg yolks before it gets hot. When mixture gets hot, add butter and stir until it boils and thickens.
Layer sliced bananas on top of wafers and pour 1/2 custard over bananas. Repeat layers and top with rest of custard. Beat egg whites and add 2 Tblsp sugar while beating until stiff peaks form. Put meringue on top of pudding and brown in 425 degree oven. Love this old fashioned banana pudding!!!
