6 Slices Bacon – chopped
1 Small Onion – chopped
1 Small Green pepper – chopped
1 Can Tomatoes, No. 2
1-1/2 Cups Rice – uncooked
1 Tbsp. Chicken bouillon – granules
1-1/2 Cups Water – boiling
1 Pkg. Okra, sliced – thawed

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté bacon in large skillet; add onion and pepper. Sauté for a few minutes. Mix water and bouillon granules and add to bacon mixture. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil; simmer for about 20 minutes or until rice is cooked to the desired consistency. Serves about 10.

HINT: More water may need to be added and the following substitutes used: Bacon Bits for the bacon, fresh tomatoes for the can tomatoes, fresh okra for the frozen and chicken broth for the bouillon.
