2 cups milk
2 cups half and half
1/3 cup margarine or butter
3 cups fresh oysters(undrained)*
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 Tablespoon chopped pimento
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon Worcestershire
oyster crackers(if desired)
*Tip; Three 8 ounce can oysters(undrained can be substituted for fresh oysters.Reduce salt to 1/4 teaspoon.Cook over low heat until edges of oysters begin to curl.continue as directed.

In large saucepan,combine milk and cream.Heat slowly until bubbles appear around edges.In medium saucepan,melt largarine.Add oysters and onion.Cook over low heat 8 to 10 minutes or until edges of oysters begin to curl.Stir oyster mixture,parsley,pimiento,salt,pepper,worcestershire sauce into hot milk.Heat gently,stirring frequently;do not boil.Garnish with oyster crackers if desired
