Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 1/4 C self-rising flour
1/4 C shortening
1 C buttermilk

FILLING
1/2 C melted butter
1/2 C brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In large bowl, mix shortening with flour until crumbly. Add buttermilk to make soft dough. Knead a couple of times with floured hands. You may need to add a little more flour if dough is sticky. Roll out on a floured board to 1/4 inch thick. Spread with melted butter, sugar and cinnamon. Roll up jelly roll fashion and cut into 1/2 - 3/4 inch pieces. Place in a greased 9 inch cake pan.

Bake for 15 minutes until lightly brown. Can put a powdered sugar glazed on these after they come out of the oven.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mother used left over biscuit or pie dough to make these stickies. I actually make up a batch just so I could make them for my children and grandchildren. They are so good right out of the oven. One of my school teachers, Mrs. Nixon, always asked me to bring her some "stickies" when I made them at home. They should actually be called "Quickie Cinnamon Rolls"
