4 C cooked Rice
1 small can Mushrooms
1 can Marukai Clams
1 pkg. Dashinomoto
3 C water + juice form clams and mushrooms
2 tsp Shoyu
2 tsp Sake
¼C Green Peas
Kamaboko ( fish cake) diced
Takenoko ( Bamboo Shoots)

Directions:

Make Rice

In a sauce pan bring water, juices, Mushrooms, Clams, Dashinomoto, Shoyu and Sake
to a simmer. for 5 minutes.

Add Peas and heat for a few minutes.

Place mixture over rice and top with diced Kamaboko and Takenoko

Here's a memory:
When I was young and visitng Oahu,I always stayed at Aunty Angie's house.
We ( the girls) had to catch the bus because no one had a drivers license.
The 1st time a rode the bus, the driver heard me talking to Charleen and Charlotte.
He said "eh, you a Katonk" , funny huh???
Bet you haven't heard that word for a long time.
