Lemon-Lime Poke Cake (and variations) Recipe

1 3oz pkg lime jello mix
3/4 c. boiling water

1 pkg Duncan Hines Lemon Supreme cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. water

Topping:
1 enveolop Dream Whip
1 pkg lemon instant pudding
1 1/2 c. cold milk
Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add 1/2 c. cold water. Set aside

Bake cake as directed in 9x13 pan (using eggs, oil and water). Cool cake 20-25 minutes.

Poke holes in top of cake. Slowly pour gelatin over holes. Refrigerate.

Topping: in chilled mixing bowl, blend Dream Whip, pudding and cold milk together. Then whip until stiff peaks form (3-8 minutes). Immediately frost cake. Refrigerate.

May freeze frosted cake for storage.

Variations:
White cake - strawberry jello OR strawberries puréed - vanilla pudding
Vanilla cake - peach jello OR peaches puréed - vanilla pudding
Chocolate cake - cherry jello plus cherry pie filling - chocolate pudding
