2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp.salt, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 lb. chopped walnuts, 2 - 8 oz. jars of maraschino cherries, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 c. butter, 6 eggs, 2 lb. chopped dates, 1 lb. Brazil nuts

Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt, cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs, add vanilla. Combine above, add fruit and nuts, blend well. Bake 1 hour at 350 in loaf pans. Keep frozen until sliced.
